Pay Range:$17.00 - $19.00/hour
This position is eligible for individual tips earned when delivering product to customers, and individual tips earned as a budtender.
*As a tipped industry, tips are and can be variable as a result of many factors, including shift availability, schedule, full-time/part-time status, hours of operation, weekends/nights, and specific dispensaries
Position Objective:
Schwazze is looking to for an energetic, reliable, and customer focused individual to act as a cannabis product expert in our retail stores, in addition to delivering our products from our stores to our customers. The Delivery Lead will be responsible for directing and organizing the preparing of delivery orders and picking up packages from multiple store locations and will lead the other Delivery Specialists in their transporting within the state of New Mexico. All drivers must work within MED compliance standards. This person will also be a Shift Lead Budtender at our Everest Cannabis Co. Montgomery location where they will be eligible for tips during budtending shifts. A transport vehicle and fuel will be provided by the company.
Essential Functions:
Delivery (50%)
- Delegates and leads Delivery Specialist operations
- Accurately record delivery inventory data and performs inventory reconciliation in POS system in accordance with MED laws and regulations.
- Optimizes back- room organization to streamline eCommerce order fulfillment.
- Deliver cultivated products to residential customers from dispensary locations throughout the state.
- Verify packaged orders and match invoices to ensure accuracy according to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Maintain in full compliance with all associated regulatory bodies.
- Maintain ongoing communication with the Inventory/Order Fulfillment and Sales departments as it relates to customer deliveries.
- Handle customer concerns or issues at the time of delivery and work with the appropriate department or manager to resolve customer concerns promptly.
- Verify accuracy of orders at the time of delivery.
- Create and abide by the most efficient route plans for delivery.
- Verify and collect payments at time of delivery, per the designated process.
- Assist with company delivery vehicle maintenance.
- Participate in weekly cycle counts and inventory control procedures.
Customer Service (25%)
- Provide customers with a friendly and welcoming experience, assisting them as needed.
- Offer product information and guidance, answering questions and helping customers find suitable products.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns, striving to ensure their satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment to create an enjoyable shopping experience.
- Collaborate with the team to suggest improvements based on customer feedback.
- Assist with returns and exchanges, ensuring a hassle-free process for customers.
Cash Handling and Transactions (15%)
- Support the team in training staff on proper cash handling and transaction procedures.
- Work together with colleagues to perform daily cash reconciliation and reporting.
- Collaborate with the finance department to enhance cash flow and financial efficiency.
- Participate in routine cash register audits to verify accurate cash handling.
- Assist in refining and simplifying cash handling procedures for the team.
- Help colleagues with advanced cash register functionalities for smoother transactions.
Inventory Management (10%)
- Contribute to maintaining product quality and safety standards.
- Support the organization of products for easy restocking and accessibility.
- Collaborate with the inventory management team to ensure accurate inventory levels.
- Assist in implementing in-store promotions and sales strategies to manage inventory.
- Participate in monitoring supply chain performance, identifying process improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with team members to report and analyze product trends and customer preferences.

Specific Job Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be 21+ years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service role as a shift lead is required
- Knowledge of cannabis and its products is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in cash handling and accurate basic math calculations.
- Reliable, punctual, and possesses a strong work ethic.
- 2+ years of experience as a delivery driver is preferred.
- Experience with customer service, invoice handling, and cash handling is preferred.
- Must be punctual, organized, and trustworthy with strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience with POS systems preferred
Working Conditions (Schedule, Environment, Travel)
- Schedule will vary depending on the needs of the business (Nights, Weekends, Holidays included)
- Driving in all weather conditions
- Must be capable for driving over the course of several hours at a time
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. or more multiple times per day.
- Stores are open 7 days a week from 8:00 am – 11:45 pm (varying by location), nights, weekends & holidays.
Salary
$17 - $19 USD per hour
