MEGHAN Markle & Prince Harry have been slammed after signing deals with Netflix & Spotify well over a year ago- with an expert saying the couple will fail to "set Hollywood on fire".

The Duke and duch*ess' Netflix deal was announced in September of 2020. But writing in the New Zealand Herald, royal expert Daniela Elser, says it's been “more than 14 months” since the couple have delivered content.

She said: “More than 14 months ago, in September 2020, when their money-making marriage with the streaming was first revealed, they loftily promised they would be making 'content that informs but also gives hope'. Goodo then, but where is it?”

Harry and Meghan have announced two projects for Netflix including Pearl, a children's animation, and a documentary about Harry's charity sporting event Invictus Games.

But the expert says the two projects, however "touching and powerful", may fail to connect with audiences.

Elser continued: “These might both prove to be touching and powerful shows but on paper they don't exactly sound like they will be setting viewers or Hollywood on fire.”

    No peeking

Kate Middleton and Prince William live at Kensington Palace where they have their own quarters and gardens.

Some parts of the historical building are open to the public for guided tours and they even occasionally host ticketed events in the garden.

But despite throwing open the doors of the Palace, not every space is available for exploring, the public are, of course, not allowed into the Cambridge’s private areas, which are in Apartment 1A.

On a recent tour of the Palace, one TikToker discovered the sneaky way that the royal family keep the public at bay and stop them from peering into their exclusive gardens.

TikToker Laura-Ann Bar, who posts on the platform with the handle @allthatspretty, uploaded a short clip revealing the couple’s savvy tactic.

She said: “I’m at the Kensington Palace tour!

“Look at the secret windows they have that make sure you can’t see into Kate & Will’s private garden to the right! They have it on all the windows in this room.”

She then showed that as you approach the glass of the window you can see that a small strip to the right is frosted over, preventing guests from craning their heads round to see their royal’s personal space.

Kate Middleton is the jewel in Royal Family crown Princess Diana would be proud of

This is a comment piece by Tom Bower

ON her 40th birthday, Kate has not only become the woman her husband’s mother might have been but has undoubtedly surpassed even Diana’s ambition.

She has shown all the qualities needed to become a great Queen to steer the monarchy and Britain into a new era; tough, considerate, intelligent and thoughtful.

The image ofKate leading the country in the Queen’s absence during the Remembrance ceremonylast November reassured monarchists that when the time comes, King William will have not only a Queen by his side but also a loyal friend, an outstanding mother for his children and critically, a wise advisor to guide him through the inevitable perils of public life.

The genius ofKate’s evolution into an icon, since she emerged as William’s girlfriend in 2003, has been the unfussy determination of a middle class woman to shed any irritating regal pretentitions.

Gradually, as Kate’s style and personality have developed, her own identity has matched the expectations of a diverse country.

Over the last weeks, her public appearances as apianist, photographer, sportswoman and patron of charities have enhanced her appeal as a modest, hard working mother epitomising the best of British virtues.

Chalet to pay for legal battle

The Duke of York has settled on a price with a mystery millionaire for his Verbier home believed to be in excess of £17million.

Andy, 61, is said to be confident that paperwork will be completed soon and needs the money to fund his sex abuse case.

But the Duke will first have to pay off Isabella de Rouvre who loaned the duke money to buy the chalet and sued him for £7million two 18 months ago.

He could be left with around £10million that he can use to fund his US lawyers or even offer a settlement to sex abuse accuser Virginia Roberts Giuffre.

A source close to the sale said: “A buyer has been found and a price has been agreed.

“Things are proceeding. It has not been completed yet. But it is hoped to be very soon.”

Kate's portraits reveal she’s ‘confident’ in her role of future Queen

It is reported that Kate will “celebrate privately with her family” this weekend and will undoubtedly be joined by Prince George, eight, Princess Charlotte, six, and Prince Louis, three.

Here, body language expert Judi James tells Fabulous how the new images show Kate has her own identity and is confident in her role of future Queen as well as displaying similarities with Princess Diana.

Judi said: "There’s a powerful blend of three key messages coming from these landmark portraits of Kate.

"On the one hand, we have a strong historic nod, especially in the monochrome profile shot which looks almost like a Victorian portrait that has somehow been styled by The Lady magazine."

It shows a very romantic-looking Kate clad in chiffon and bows like a debutante ready for the annual ball and this romanticizing of a woman normally known for her red carpet chic or her boots-and-jeans combos seems to position her emphatically into the history of this country by making her look iconic rather than just contemporary, says Judi.

She added: "With her tumbling waves and the way her rather tentative-looking hand gesture makes a very obvious reveal of her ring finger, this seems to also show Kate in the ongoing role of William’s bride as well as in the role of future Queen.

"Her facial expression looks loving and romantic, and she gazes off into the distance as though examining her destiny."

And nowbody language expert Darren Stanton has pointed out the similarities that Kate displays to Princess Diana.

Darren added: “Other public figures, like celebrities and even other Royal family members, can tend to show a fake smile or disingenuous displays of emotion at certain events – however, Kate is very much an open book.

“She is always seen with a very open and honest smile denoted by visible crow’s feet around her eyes. Her whole face is engaged when smiling and it’s clear she has developed a massive confidence not only as a Royal and a public figure, but as a parent too.

'No-fly zone' could be placed around Windsor castle after Christmas incident

A "no-fly zone" could be placed over Windsor Castle as its security arrangements are reviewed, the Metropolitan Police said.

An application for the restricted airspace order has been made and, if successful, would prevent aircrafts from flying up to 2,500ft above and 1.5 nautical miles around Windsor Castle.

The Metropolitan Police said the order would "further enhance the security at what is an iconic location and keep the community living nearby safe".

The force added that the order was applied for as part of its ongoing review into security arrangements and not because of any specific threat or intelligence.

On Christmas Day, a 19-year-old man was arrested while allegedly in possession of a crossbow at Windsor Castle. The Metropolitan Police said he had been sectioned under the Mental Health Act.
